Kenyatta University international students from Main Campus paid a courtesy call to Mombasa Campus accompanied by Mr. James Masika,

Administrator-K.U. Center for International Programmes and Collaborations.

The students were welcomed by Dr. Shadrack Murimi , Director-Mombasa Campus and Dr. Stephen Orago, Deputy Director-Student Affairs.

Dr. Murimi gave the visitors an overview of the history of Mombasa campus, its milestones and academic programs offered by the nine (9) schools represented at the campus.

The visitors were treated to a tour of the campus premises by Dr. Orago which took the students through; the recreational park, administration & lecture blocks, campus central courtyard, teaching labs, library, and the state of the art hostel.

Coincidentally, Mombasa campus is situated a stone's throw away from Old Town. Old Town is a cultural tourist destination and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Among the famous landmarks in this area is Fort Jesus.

As a bonus, the visitors got the opportunity to become tourists. They took an excursion into the historic town on foot under the guidance of their host before leaving for North Coast Beach Hotel for the night.

Hosting the international students was an honour to Mombasa Campus and as a campus fraternity to our visitors we say "Asante kwa ujio wenu na karibuni tena"
